How to join
Membership is open to you if you are a serving or ex Firefighter who owns and rides a Harley Davidson®! Please read and understand this section completely before you start the application process. After you have read and under stood the information contained below you can use any of the 'Chapter 12 contacts' tabs above to contact committee members who will clarify any issues you may have. You can also use these for submitting Chapter 12 membership application details. The requirements are simple. You "must be a Firefighter" or a "Firefighter with a service retirement" and own and ride a "Harley-Davidson®" motorcycle. W&F members may remain "Out-Riders" or may choose to join one of our many chapters around the world.
Membership of Wind & Fire Motorcycle Club Chapter 12 Firefighters UK is conditional on already being a member of Wind & Fire Motorcycle Club International. There are additional restrictions on membership of Chapter 12 which can be clarified by using the 'Chapter 12 contacts' tabs above.

Membership fees are a "one time" cost of approximately £20.00. With your membership you will receive a membership patch, W&F MC pewter membership badge, a reflective decal, our "911-343" FDNY remembrance patch, five Club coins and a copy of the April "annual" newsletter. The Club 12" x 11.5" Maltese back patch is available for an additional fee. This process will take approximately 2 to 6 weeks depending on the time of year.
Chapter 12 membership.
Please note, Chapter 12 FIREFIGHTERS-UK membership has further requirements that need to be met and an annual subscription fee. Only full members of Chapter 12 are entitled to use the bottom Rocker FIREFIGHTERS-UK. All the following information identified below will have to be provided before your membership application for Chapter 12 will be considered. This information should be clearly written on the back of your picture for our Club database:

This will need to be sent to us using the Royal Mail "snail mail" only (no email) to the address that you will receive when you contact us via one of the contact tabs at the top of this page.
POINT OF CLARIFICATION:
We are a family club of Firefighters that ride Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. We
are not associated directly with the Motor Company®; we have nothing against
other brands of motorcycles - we just like Harleys. Wind & Fire MC is an
International club therefore you may well see 'outriders' or international
members of Wind & Fire without the

Can Volunteer/ Retained/ Part time/ Defence/ MOD Firefighters become "Full Members" YES.
Are all members "Life Members" YES. (Once your in "you're in"...however if you act in a manner that raises a concern to our Officers, the Board of Directors can take action)
Do you have to own and ride a Harley-Davidson® for a "full membership" YES
Colours - Maltese patches, all rockers and all patches worn in the W&F MC colours (blue field with red & black borders) must be purchased through W&F MC ® Inc.
Can Chapters have individual "Chapter" restrictions that apply only to that "Chapter" YES.
How do you keep members up to date with information - Wind & Fire MC International produce a quarterly newsletter which can be accessed from the International website members area. Chapter 12 have a members only chat forum which is only available to registered members of Firefighters UK who have kept their Chapter subscription up to date. Remember the forum is for members only and your access login and password should not be given to anyone else.
How do I access this information - A log-in name and password will be given to you after you join to enable access to the members only pages of Wind & Fire MC International. This password will not give you access to the Chapter 12 members only sections of the Chapter 12 site. Access to the Chapter 12 chat forum is only given to Chapter 12 members or approved individuals either by membership of Chapter 12 or by authorisation of the Chapter Director.
How do I get hold of club merchandise - "Chapter 12 merchandise" cannot be ordered via the internet. These items must be ordered from the secretary in person using the appropriate forms from the website. All merchandise orders must be "prepaid" and sent by "snail mail", NO email orders. If you have a problem let us know, we will sort it. Chapter 12 Firefighters UK merchandise can only be ordered from the secretary or director.
Does membership of Wind & Fire MC give me automatic membership of Chapter 12 Firefighters UK - No. But it does automatically allow you to apply for membership. Contact the secretary for further info. Each Chapter usually has further annual membership subs and there are sometimes restrictions applicable regionally.
Do I have to join Chapter 12 in the UK - No, there is no requirement to join Chapter 12. You can remain as an outrider but you need to make sure that you communicate with the clubs in your area to ensure that they understand your intentions. There may be 'issues' in some parts of the UK with wearing a patch that is unfamiliar that a short discussion can easily overcome.
